Online Dating - Complaint
I was told by a woman on True.com that she got paid to be on the Internet. I had messaged her before after initiating an acquaintance with her on True.com. I thought she had signed off one day recently but she was still logged on to True.com. So I messaged her to see if she was still on or just forgot to log off. She sent me a message back saying she got paid to be on the internet. I think it meant that true.com was paying her.
When I sent her another message asking her what she meant, she didn't answer me.

Sounds just like those '900' phone services. The women there are also paid. I'd say that she told you the truth.

I've heard this before about some of these online dating sites, etc. Makes sense. It is kind of like the ladies drink free nights at a bar... but only different... ;-)
I can see where this type of thing makes the experience more fake and pretty much a ripoff.

delta, I don't know anything about online dating/chat services but it would make sense that she gets paid. The better question is why aren't you out meeting someone in real life rather than via the 'net?
