Acer Complaint - Acer laptop
PENNSYLVANIA -- I purchased an Acer laptop at Staples on 4/27/07, after the 14th day, you cannot return an Acer laptop to Staples.
At tne end of 3 weeks, I realized I was unable to write a cd or play a dvd........no drivers were present, I was instructed to return it ot the manufacturer for repairs (this cost almost $100 for shipping, insurance, packing, etc) They had the laptop for 2 weeks, when it was returned after 2 days, when booting up, I got a message that there was no bootable partition and could never get into the windows system, it stayed in
I again contacted the tech support, and returned the computer, after it was returned I had it 3 days and again got the same message, no bootable partition found.
I have had this computer 3 1/2 months and it is in for repairs for the 3rd time.
The Acer policy is only to repair, NEVER replace or refund.
I have spent $847.00 for a laptop that had been nothing but trouble.
8/18/07........I have just been notified that Staples has replaced the hard drive (supplied by Acer) and now the back up disks are corrupt....this laptop will be returned to Acer for repairs for the 3rd time.......plus the attempts with Staples tech support....a total of 4 repairs and I have not had the laptop and entire 4 months.
