Drees Builders Informative - Violated Building Codes

Review by rol on 2007-08-18
Drees Builders intentionally violated State and County building codes in constructing hundreds of condominiums. They did not construct the roofing system according to code and there have been countless roof leaks that have cost the association thousands of dollars.

We tried to place criminal charges against Ralph Drees but the Statue of Limitations ran out - tried to sue for damages but the Statue also ran out. This crook belongs in jail.

And the County still allows him to build in this County - where is the justice?

Sounds like the DA or Atty. General needs to investigate the Permit/Code/Inspection office. Where is this anyway? Hope not in hurricane country.

We have a home that we can not insulate due to a list of major code violations. We have filed a complaint with the state and nothing has been done. We have to win a lawsuit in order for the state to do anything.
We just passed the one year mark... and I have to look at a new home that is full of mold, windows have to all come out, siding needs to come out, tyvek is not even taped, major supports missing, header missing above garage... walls that can not be sheetrocked because they are so crooked... the list goes on and on and on. Plus they walked away and put a lien on our property for $35,000 more than the contracted amount. We have spent $11,000 with an attorney and have gotten no where!!!!
