Blacks Furniture Complaint - Poor Customer Service
GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA -- I purchased furniture from NC outlet. When arrived, deliveryman said would not fit thru door and just wanted to leave it in garage or have me sign waiver to clear him of all damage to furniture and house when tried to deliver. After being told by company they charge a 1/3 of purchase price to return the furniture, I signed a waiver and delivery person still refused to even help me think of options. While i was on the phone to their boss the deliveryman drove off with my furniture.
The person I was speaking to said he would look at the furniture and figure out a way to make it work and send someone else. Late I was informed I would be charged a second delivery fee ( even though I did not want them to take the furniture back after learning I would be charged $800).
Since then, I spoke with lane furniture and found out the furniture comes apart easily and will fit into my basement. Black's still insists on charging a re-delivery fee, wants to send back the same people who were cussing at me and took the furniture away despite my asking them not to, refuse to take the furniture into the basement ( so now will also have to hire a moving company to take the furniture down) and refuse to take back the the wedge piece even if I pay the restock fee.
Moral of the story: you get what you pay for. Ideally, you think you are saving $, but all you get is shoddy service, rude people and a lot of hassles. They take your money, refuse to even listen to your complaint and have no intention of trying to help. Next time: stay local with refutable companies that actually have a customer service person who wants to help you. These people are RUDE. They do not care if you are satisfied, they only want their money.
