Surplus Freught, Inc. Complaint - Questionable Refund Policy - Surplus Freight, Inc.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS -- I purchased a kid's bed room set on 8/4/07 at the Surplus Freight, Inc. store located at 120 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield, MA. I was promised would be delivered next day.After getting no call from the store on the promised delivery date of 8/5/07, I called the store.I was told my furniture had not arrived and I would get it next day 8/6/07 without fail. Still no delivery or call to me was made on that day. When I called they said to come into the store and pick up a company check for my refund. At the store the manager put back the portion I had paid using my debit card and the rest which, I had paid cash for, would be mailed as a check to my house in 7 to 10 days according to their refund policy. I have been checking my mail and I've called the store on several times and today 8/20/07, the regional manager told me it would take another 10 days.

I find their conduct questionable and would advise everyone to stay away!

Update: Today is 9/5/07 Still have not heard from Surplus Freight Inc
and no check as promised.
I have filed a complaint with BBB and the Mayor's Office.
