Lonestar Buick/Pontiac/GMC Mckinney, TX Complaint - They pumped the MSRP up when selling to you

Review by Givebackmyworld on 2007-08-21
MCKINNEY, TEXAS -- They have the ad on Dallas Morning News on 8/18/2007 for a 2007 Acadia (stock# GD 70096) with $6000 off over the MSRP of $44,465. They tried to sell to me at this MSRP - $6000 = $38465.

While the actual sticker MSRP on this vehicle is only $39845 shown on the GMC website that locates this vehicle at this dealer. What ashame to an American dealer while we want to support buying American cars.

It is always wise to do your own research before going to the dealership.

Speaking of dealership, I have got to test drive the new 2008 Jeep Liberty. The 2008 Liberty has been revamped with new headlights and grilles. I was thinking about buying a Jeep Patriot, but, after I saw the new 2008 Liberty, Im glad I waited! Go to www.jeep.com and look at their line-up of great Jeeps!

Buick is crazy, the prices are too high. At that price I could buy a real nice new Tahoe.

Check out the book "Don't Get Taken Every Time"...it details all the tricks car dealers (new and used) use to pick your pocket. For example, trucks do NOT have an MSRP.....

A family member has a Buick Le Sabre the dash pad popped out above the speedometer, and the corner over the passenger air bag, guess what, GM will not cover this part because it is considered a trim item. I have contacted the GM executive office the dealership(Lonestar Buick of Mckinney)the delaership told them that this is due to the enviroment, but the service manager at the dealership tells me that this is a defective part. Now I beleive that when a defective part is installed on or in a vehicle that it should be replaced by the manufacturer at no cost to the customer. Lonestar Buick of Mckinney (Texas) wants to charge $750.00 for the dash pad to be replaced at our cost. The warranty does not even matter. Just to let everyone know (just in case you don't already)the part of the dash that is lifting on the passanger side of the car is directly over the air bag which on this model can not be turned off. I pointed this out to the dealership and to the GM executive office this does not matter to them. I guess that safety is now not a concern to General Motors!!!!! I never thought that I would want to buy a vehicle from a foreign auto maker, but after this I am going to!!! They stand behind the products they sell. What happened to American Values in business?? Does General Motors think that they are above this? They are only hurting the American people by handling business this way.
Oh buy the way General Motors offered me$1000.00 towards the purchase of a new General Motors vehicle, but they will not pay the $750.00 for the new dash pad. Yea right I'm going to run out and buy a GM product. DON'T THINK SO!!!! I have asked GM to put this into writing that they will not replace the dash. The letter that I have just received from them by fax states that they are "unable to provide the information you were seeking" "we are unable to obtain the information due to availability or particular complexities of the request". What a crock of *!@#. DON'T BUT GENERAL MOTORS THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY BUILD.
