ATT/Cingular Informative - Little or no service for cell phone
RIALTO, CALIFORNIA -- I have had my cell for over 4 years and was reasonably satisfied with the phone and service until ATT and Cingular got together, then the service went down the toilet. For over two years now I have been complaining to customer service that there is no service or very little service in my 92376 area. My phone works good but I must travel 12 to 15 miles or more to get service for my phone to work. ATT never disclosed to me that my area where I live has little or no service. On the contrary I was led to believe that the new Cingular service was better than ever. Continued false promises, misleading advertising, and inaction by ATT to remedy the problem has become very frustrating. I only expect to receive the service that ATT is charging me for. I have been promised on two different occasions a new phone in hopes of resolving the problem, without a renewed contract and no turn-on fees. Well, that hasn't happened yet. And they promised to send a research crew out to see the problem for themselves. That hasn't happened yet either. I have just filed a complaint with the FCC. We will see where that goes, but I think ATT should reimburse me for the majority of time my phone had no service (about 90%)of the time.
Maybe I should just change companies.
