Dish Network Complaint - Dish Representatives Created The Problem (Must Read)
NORTHERN, ALABAMA -- This is incredible the problem dish representatives created.
We had to make a relocation from ny state to Alabama on July 1 2007. Must mention the relocation was to start a new life after having been living on social security for 6 years and the only way we were even able to get to Alabama was thru financial help of ex-military colleagues.
Well we called dish and spoke to a supervisor for over an hour because we needed to know how to handle our particular move regarding dish and yes amount owed. We were told by dish network supervisor "take receiver and remotes,equipment with you,just hold up on everything until you get your own place and settled" (she was told it would be weeks, not days for this to happen. She acknowledged the time frame and again said if we did as she told us there will not be problem and that dish will not go into our bank acct and take anything out)we went and got to Alabama and called dish to confirm everything still alright and on course,it was and this supervisor told us the same thing about when we get own place and settled and again reemphasized it will be a fews weeks,not only days for this to happen,she as the other assured dish will not go into our banking acct and take money out and she knew of the amount owed and she said at time of service transfer work out the owed portion,well don't you know ...
Dish goes and takes money directly out of my bank acct. (Substantial amount in our case) well I called dish and it was treated like "oh well,thats what we do,allowable by contract" now fed up with dish told representative to send the empty box to return receiver, remotes, equipment and she submitted that request and we made clear for her to make sure dish does not mess with our banking acct anymore because of our particular circumstances(involving instructions)and also told her to note acct.
To whats transpiring regarding equipment return(at this point need to mention,we had asked about the empty shipping box before but after the two supervisor instructions it was concluded by all of us,including supervisors shipping the empty shipping box wasn't necessary)well we received the empty shipping box today(08/21) and when checking bank account tonight(evening of 08/21)we found that dish network had taken out a more than substantial amount in our case,a devastating amount in our case and when called them and explained how it wasn't even our fault,we were following detail instructions from two dish supervisors! They (supervisor)treated our incident like "oh well,thats what we do, allowable by contract"
do you think representatives note accounts like you ask? Apparen'tly not,they just put in general comments/notes and thats it,leaving customer in barrel,in future I would ask any representative working with(any company)exactly what did they put into notes,even when they say "noted account" to make sure they noted whats important and beneficial to me,not just them)
calling echo star today which is dish networks paren't company(found their phone numbers on their web page)it is the principal of how it all unfolded thats totally uncomfortable).
Incredible what we are going thru now for following dish instructions.
