DaysInn Complaint - Very tricky reservation policy
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA -- I reserved one room at Days Inn Arlington VA. After I entered credit card information rates changed immediately at both transactions. I called the hotel for this unexpected change. A man said that the rates are different for weekdays and weekend. I asked to cancel my reservation, but he said it is impossible. And I know the reason for price changing is totally lie. I needed another room for my family and had to reserve at the same hotel. I reserved and entered my card info. Yes, the rates changed again and weekday is more expensive than weekend days.
Then a woman called me and informed me that the rooms are too small to stay with kids (under 17 yo). However, when I entered the info, I have never got any negative message for this. And if my demand could not be met, then my reservation also should have been rejected. I think, hotel policy is very tricky and management is not talented enough. Or, their website does not work well.
1. They changed prices after taking my card info.
2. They called me that my preferences could not be met (kids stay in paren'ts room).
3. I asked to cancel or postpone; they rejected.
4. Days Inn hotel reservation policy is not ethical and is against general customer rights.
What an original and tricky and skillful reservation and hosting policy!
Congratulations, Days Inn. You reminded me of unpleasant old Jurassic park reservation days.
I think companies are not supposed to determine any condition against general socially acceptable rules.
