Burger King Complaint - BK now has walk up drive thru; No consumer hotline
VISTA, CALIFORNIA -- I went to Burger King off Melrose in Vista,CA. I frequent the restaurant often but was not happy with what went down tonight. I was ordering my food as three boys about 15-17 years old are talking very loudly about what they are going to order right behind my car. After I order I drive forward and wait in line. The kids move from the position and go up to the window yet still across the drive thru road and ask to order. The lady at first says no. The teen then asks why and the manager dressed in red with tie says it is ok. The kids then get right next to my car and come up to the drive thru window. My girlfriend is scared that they are going to do something because my window is down. It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable watching these guys get an ok from the manager to do this. If I was in the parking lot and someone walked this close to my car and not being parked right next to me. It would make me really defensive and I would leave or have a good reason to tell them to back off.
I didn't have the luxury being blocked in and they were allowed to order and hang by the window. I pulled up and went to pay with these guys less then an arms length away from me late at night. They could have easily grabbed my credit card and took off and I wouldn't been able to do anything or even worse, I could have been robbed, stabbed or shot with the position I was put in by Burger King.
To top it all off I went home and went to the website and there is no phone number nor customer comment e-mail. There is no phone number what so ever unless I want to pay long distance charges to talk to someone at corporate if I ever even get a hold of them. I then decide to call the survey on back of receipt to hopefully be able to voice my complaint. It is a number survey and they give you a sandwich if you take it.
Because of the way the survey is set up I can't tell them what happened besides a 1 for bad service or a 5 for good service. At the end on the Survey they give me a confirmation code and tells me that it expires but doesn't tell me a date nor does it say on the receipt.
Burger King Just lost my family as a customer and my word of mouth regarding this situation will undoubtedly change others minds regarding Burger King.
