Delta Airlines Complaint - The price of travel
I usually use Delta Airlines because they have always been good to me most of the time.
I am a very patient guy when it comes to customer service and when one run's into the “bad/mad person” who thinks he/she needs a punching bag.
I will be the first to admit I have a short man complex and an Irish temper. How ever I try to control it by trying to be understanding of the other person.
Lately Delta like all the airlines has been going up in price and down in customer service. Still the flight attendants are mostly very nice and do the best they can.
The Captains have been late more then once on the flights I taken so far this year. This means after all the people are neatly packed in the plane one must sit there and wait. OK, I haven’t said anything and try to make the best of a bad situation.
Now, I am a Gold card member and I already pay more for the ticket because I must leave most of the time at the spur of the moment, job related. About every other flight I get up graded to first class so that works out.
But this time I make reservations a week and a half in advance but still if I leave on the day I want it will cost $2,670.00 round trip from the East coast to the West coast.
So I finally get a flight for $743.00 round trip, with three stops and on the long flight the seat is in the middle row on the aisle, my profile says I will always get a window set. OK, endure!
I finish my job here in California and want to go home early so I call to make a flight change that has never cost me more then $100.00 on any airlines, most of the time it’s $50.00.
My patients is now gone! To make a flight change I will leave Saturday and get home Sunday afternoon and the cost will be $720.80 with three stops/lay overs!
What the he11 is happening to the airlines are they really trying to go out of business?
