Ashley Furniture Complaint - Poor Customer Service
Purchased living room furniture in 11/2006 - Here 9 months later the recliner completed fell apart underneath - The back reclined all the way back and foot piece came up - both locked in this position. It tore the fabric velcroed at the bottom back of the chair when it sprung back.
Have contacted the store who say they have to contact the Ashley representative - Still no word. Call Ashley corporate customer service. they say it has to be handled on the retail level first. Sent e-mails to consumer affairs of Ashley. They assigned me a number and can't get anything else. Meanwhile I have a reclining chair which we had to be roped down underneath to pull the pieces back down to the seat,just to have a walking area around the room. Still no one has called me back on this. Will not accept a repair - must have a new one as the chair is faulty and the fabric is now torn.
I do not recommend purchasing Ashley Furniture - The price may be right but the merchandise is not even worth that and lord help if you have a problem because you will get not cooperation from their customer service, sales, etc.
