Honda of Turnersville Complaint - Poor Customer Service
TURNERSVILLE, NEW JERSEY -- Upon purchasing a new 2007 Honda Odyssey, we bought an XM radio to be installed. On Monday, we made the appointment to have the installation on Friday. On Friday, the vehicle would not start and was subsequently towed to Honda of Turnersville. I arrived at the dealership and was told that the fuel relay switch (a recall with 2005 Odysseys) was likely the reason the car would not start and was replaced. However, the XM parts had not been ordered. I spoke with management and was given a loaner for the weekend and was told to pick the car up Monday evening. When I arrived Monday evening, the XM had not been installed in the vehicle. I complained to management and was told I would be given a tank of gas for my trouble. Wow. I emailed the general manager hoping for a resolution to the problem - what happened? why did it happen? I must admit, I was likely not too nice in the email. Today I was called and told that they experienced the car not starting and were trying to figure out the problem. I finally received a call from the GM who told me "things happen" and "there is no compensation for your inconvenience" and I could "trash them, it was my prerogative". There was no apology at any time. I asked for the number for his district manager and was told he would call me back with it.
I am still waiting. I just want consumers looking to buy a Honda to be wary of the ineptitude of the staff at Honda of Turnersville. They are NOT customer friendly after you hand them a check or sign your financing paperwork.
