Circuit City Informative - Circuit City Sux - Customer Service or Lack of
SPRINGFIELD, NORTH CAROLINA -- I went to the local Circuit City to purchase a laptop computer. It was a great buy I couldn't pass it up. The problem arose when I tried to get someone to wait on me. I waited for almost an hour in front of the counter in the computer department to get help. There were 2 guys there but they were not associates or so they said, even though there green Firedog shirts clearly had a Circuit City patch. When I finally got someone to talk to me, they were obviously bothered by the fact they actually had to work. I told them what I wanted supplied my credit card and they gave me a ticket to take to the front to get my item. Before leaving I mentioned that I had heard another associate tell someone that I could get a cordless mouse for $20.00. The associate I was speaking too acted like he didn't have a clue what I was talking about, so I went to the front and asked the guy at the pickup window about the mouse. He informed me that I would have to go back and see what they had. They did have advertisements for two Mice that were $20.00 each after rebate, but guess what, they were out of them on the shelf so I stood in front of the counter at the computer department for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to help me which no one did, so I exclaimed in a loud voice (everyone in that end of the store could here me), "Your customer service SUCKS" no one even bother to acknowledge my frustration.
Today I decide to try and call the corporate office and register my complaint. When I called the 800 # at www.circuitcity.com and requested a phone number for Corporate. I was informed that there was no direct # for Corporate. Well after a little work I found this site and used the 800 # I found here and let me tell you it was a waste of time.
So even though it may be a great price I think I will do my future shopping at BESTBUY or Walmart!
