Staples Complaint - Caveat Emptor
TAMPA, FLORIDA -- Buyer beware!
This story begins with no floor mat in my office.
Researched mat online. Drove to store where it was in stock. Not really available in store, but helpful clerk showed me how to order online. Clerk estimated delivery on Tues. No delivery Tues, Wed, Thur. No communication from Staples. Sent e-mail inquiry about status of order. Rec'd reply in about 2 days: product is out-of-stock; your credit card was not charged; product is in stock now, click on link and re-order. (Basically, start over.) Did not re-order.
Credit card bill arrived. Charge WAS made on order date, contrary to Staples' e-mail reply. Called credit card to see if Staples issued any refund: no.
Sent another e-mail to Staples. Rec'd a reply in 24 hours authorizing a refund within 5 days.
The story ends with no floor mat in my office, and at least 4 hours of my time wasted with Staples that I will never get back.
