Acer Complaint - CD/DVD Drive Failures
REDMOND, WASHINGTON -- I purchase this laptop in late March new but in a store that was closing out. In June I had a complete failure of CD/DVD read/write functions. I mailed unit in for repair and it was back quickly (good news); it only lasted until August (bad news). I am not sending it back unless they trade it for a new one; why should I risk another loss of productivity of my ecommerce business a second time. It has cost me 4 times more in loss productivity than the cost of the computer. I told repair division of the problem so that I am on record for a second failure. I will try other avenues to contact their management.
Were they dumping reject computers on close-out stores or is this product just a lemon?
