Taco Bell Complaint - Poor service all around
WOODBURN, OREGON -- On August 30th 2007 at 7:00 PM I ordered through the drive through at location TB3536 in Woodbrun Oregon - 8 crunchy taco's 2 bean burritos and a nacho bell grandee. My voice was horse but not that bad that Pablo could not hear me however on 3 tries he kept getting the order wrong and kept repeating the wrong order to me: "6 soft tacos and 2 bean burritos". He quoted me an incorrect price as well for what my order was. I drove forward and he repeated the wrong order to me and I corrected him, he then repeated the wrong order to me again! A third time I corrected him and when he told me the price I thought he might have gotten the order correctly now. When he handed me my food I naturally wanted to check the order to be sure it was correct. All that food was stuffed into a meduim sized bag, so as I tried to go through the bag tacos began to break, some of them were stuffed in the bag upside down making it hard to count them. At that point I decided I was done and I did not want to eat broken tacos so I told Pablo the order was packaged improperly and I swung the bag toward the drive through window as I drive a tall SUV and the window was low. I missed partly and some of the food in the overstuffed bag fell out.
I asked for a refund and I was told no that I had thrown the food at him and I was not going to get a refund. I tried to explain I did not throw the food, but Pablo (who claims to be the manager) kept insisting I threw the food and kept yelling at me to move my car. Another employee who I did not get her name also started yelling at me to move my car and that I had thrown the food at them. They said the were going to call the police and at that point I said good go ahead, but if you just give me my money back I will be happy to leave. Pablo screamed at me no I threw the food. I did move my car I parked and when inside the store. I asked to speak to a manager and I was totally ignored. There was a man on the floor named Martin working and I asked him who was the manager? He said he did not know.
I went back up to the counter and asked again louder this time to speak to the manager. Pablo came to the counter with my remaining food offered it to me. I said no - I want my money back and I want to speak to the store manager. He claimed he was the store manager and no I threw food he was not giving me my money back. I asked for the name of Pablo's boss and he just walked away. While this was going on I was on hold with Taco Bell Customer Service.
I filed a complaint with customer service and I was told I would receive a call from the district manager. I request that call be on Tuesday September 4th. Today is Tuesday September 4th and it is now 4:51 PM PST and I have not received a call, though I did get a letter from Taco Bell today post marked August 31 from Florida. thanking me for my input and stating: "I have forwarded your comments to the appropriate team member in order to help us toward continuous improvement." What does that mean? To me it means we don't care that Taco Bell does not care nor am I going to get my $12.30 back.
In addition today I tried to call the location via looking the location up in my local phone book, the number listed is a fax line only. Needless to say I will not be eating at Taco Bell ever again.
