Toys R Us Informative - Exchange of defective product
ST PAUL, MINNESOTA -- I recently purchased with cash an $11.00 item as a gift. I gave the receipt with the gift to the child's parent. When the game was opened one of the levels was missing and there was a duplicate level 1. Since I am the grandmother I tried to exchange it but didn't have the receipt. It had been thrown out, but the store sticker price was still on it. The return policy of Toys R Us stinks. I only wanted the correct item not a refund or cash back. As a consumer, I know I will never shop TRU again (and I have 7 grandchildren). This policy should be flexible under certain circumstances.
Talking to the customer service was of no help at all. "Sorry" just doesn't cut it when there is no customer service.
