Wisetronics.com Informative - Backordering - Online service

Review by wentonce on 2007-09-06
You can buy the item now, but one has to buy accessories at some large markup. Otherwise it will be "back ordered" for an unknown and indefinite amount of wait time. They have the product, but they will not just sell it to you at the offered advertised price. I ran into two stores that did that. In the mean time they marked the price at the basic Walmart price. I don't know what to say. That is just the way it seems since i don't really know what is going on or being said. I would imagine that it is profitable in the short run, but detrimental to the business in the longer run. After a month of waiting without any indication of progress, i ended up going to Walmart, which has a no nonsense approach.
They only lost one future customer, so that was probably a good "play" for them to make. It is a good thing that i did not really need the item "right now". One has to wonder then what else might happen or if there was any real intention to deliver at the advertised price.

If they say "backorder" it is probably a very bad sign for the online customer. Oh well...........

Typical deep discount online scam. Unless you buy the so-called accessories the item will never be in stock. Of course they will happen to find one and ship it but you have to agree to an absurd handling fee. Best to cancel the order and tell the credit card company to block any charges from them.
