Mcdonald's Corporation Informative - Drive-Thru Operators Barely Speak Understandable English
PORTLAND, OREGON, OREGON -- Is it just me or has anyone experienced having to give your order 3 or 4 times only to still be completely misunderstood? And you can't ask a question because they don't understand simple English! When you get to the window and ask for a manager and try to complain that you just sat at the driveup speaker for 5 minutes trying to ask a simple substitution question but the person you talked to has such a heavy accent that you can't understand a thing they said back to you, and kept repeating the word "fries" for some unknown reason, the manager acts like YOU are being a problem. Then when you call the "customer service number" posted at the window to tell the owner "how are we doing?", you get a "fax machine" or no call back at all. It's simple, McDonalds. If you can't speak English, DON'T PUT THEM ON THE DRIVE THROUGH SPEAKER!!!!!
I've started driving away if they can't get it right the first time. Unfortunately most places are hiring people cheaply who can't speak English enough to get a simple order right. What happened to the days of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE? Are they gone forever?
