Subaru Roadside Assistance Plus Complaint - Subaru Roadside Assistance Plus or Minus
To Whom It May Concern:
I am requesting reimbursement for a tow I received from ----- Towing on July 28, 2007 for $9-.--. Please find the original receipt enclosed.
I required this tow after calling for assistance about 3:45pm on Saturday the 28th.
Your representative was unable to find my account on that day, saying it was not active. She looked it up using my VIN, membership number and name, all carefully read from my membership card, and was unable to find it. I called again on Monday, 7/30, after verifying that the check I sent to pay for this year had cleared my bank (which it did, on 8/--/06). This representative said my account “came right up” and when I asked why, she apologized, saying the other representative must not have been “up to par.” I find it troubling that, the one time I have required roadside assistance in all the years I have been paying for help to be just a phone call away, Subaru Roadside Assistance Plus was unable to assist me as I stood stranded by the road.
My membership expires 10/--/07. Please explain to me how this happened and why it will not recur, so that I can renew with confidence. Please forward this letter as appropriate.
