Loving Care Day Care Informative - Unprofessional Behavior

Review by Angie786 on 2007-09-08
GAITHERBURG, MARYLAND -- It is really shameful when people in positions of trust and responsibility set a bad example and scar young impressionable minds for life.
My sons day care is just one institution. [name removed] who works there on more than one occasion has called kids bad kids in front of them. I thought this was all rumors and never believed it till my 8 year and 4 year old kids had to experience it. My 4 year old came home with bloody knees and I was told he is not a good kid. My 8 year old did not get picked up by the school bus and was told he is not a good kid and so I should take them some where else. The saddest thing is that she said it ALL in front of the kids.

They were so upset that they had done something wrong because of which they were getting yelled at and I was getting yelled at.

That's heartbreaking. Kids don't need to be treated in such a way. I hope you find a better provider. By the way, I used to live in Gaithersburg - now I'm in Frederick.

Most states have regulatory agencies to supervize day cares. Contact your attorney general or county board of health and find out who to contact to file a complaint. Then do it.

Hey Angie...No way!! We live in Wormans Mill - right across from you - how cool is that! My daughter and future son in law work at California Tortilla.

What did the person that is in charge of this day care say when you discussed this matter with them?

Hi! Justcuz, Thanks for reading my review. I am yet to hear from anybody from the daycare. Hopefully, this week i should find some answers.

Angie, you didn't specify what dates these incidents happened but if you have yet to hear from anyone, then you should report this facility as soon as possible. Children should not be traumatized in any manner such as this, let alone by someone who is supposed to be their caretaker in your absence. I hope you have removed your children and found a better place for them.

Thanks Justcuz, I realy appreciate all your thoughts. I have already gotten in touch with the State Attorney and county officials. But, i am worried if things are going to be resolved. I feel so because of the way the manager reacted - flaunting, daring me to call the authorities.
Oh!! Yes, i have found some other place, it was not easy. I am also contemplating getting i touch with a lawyer.
