Papa John's Pizza Informative - Telephone Order/Pickup
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- To Whom It May Concern,
On Sept. 7th 2007 at 7pm I placed an order with store #1949 on 6378 Babcock Rd in San Antonio, Texas. When I came in to pick up my order the store had apparently lost the order. They could not locate the order using my name or phone number. As I was standing there I heard an employee say to another employee that since my account on the computer said my last order was last month that I had not placed an order for Friday Sept. 7th.
Basically this employee was calling me a liar which was very disturbing. Is this standard practice for Papa John’s? After the employees were unable to find my order they asked if I would like to place another. I refused not wanting to wait for another thirty minutes.
After I left the store I called back to speak with the manager on duty. After she listened to my complaint she offered to send out a free pizza, which I declined. I informed her, the only reason I was calling was that it was unacceptable for the employees on the shift to incorrectly place an order or not to place the order at all!
I hope the manager logged the complaint but I am writing to you today to verify that the complaint will be noticed. I do not think it is unreasonable for a telephone order to be recorded and submitted correctly. I do believe it is unreasonable for a customer to have to worry the next time if the order will actually be taken. Am I going to have to call ten minutes after the original order to verify that my order is indeed being made? Should I have to walk into the store thinking the employees are going to call me a liar? Papa John’s is more expensive than other pizza restaurants and provides higher quality food, that’s why I am a frequent customer of Papa John’s. Unfortunately last night I left without a pizza and extremely disappointed. Please do something to prevent this from happening again in the future.

After the pizza fiasco last night I decided to write a letter and submit it via their online Contact Us form. So this is what I sent to Papa John's customer service.
