AT&T Complaint - AT&T ruined Cingular!
LAWRENCE, KANSAS -- I have been with Cingular for several years now and NEVER really had any complaints to speak of, that is until AT&T took over!! My bill has NOT been right ever since! It has more than quadrupled!! I talk a lot but most all of the people that I talk to are also Cingular customers so it doesn't or isn't supposed to cost anything. When I am used to my bill being about $85 a month and get a bill the past two months for over $540, well you can see how I would be just a little bit FRUSTRATED and now I am LIVID! I called last month when I got the bill for over $520 and was specifically told at the end of the call and confirmed again before hanging up that my changes took effect IMMEDIATELY and not to worry about any problems with the next bill and that my balance would be $132 and I didn't like it, but I accepted it. Then I open my bill that I got in the mail today and surprise it is more than the original bill! It was over $540! After talking to 3 different people up the chain all they wanted to do was credit me for around $170 something. I DONT THINK SO! I tried to explain my conversation with the rep last month and how she confirmed more than once that the changes would take effect IMMEDIATELY, no worries and that my next bill, (the one just opened) would be $132.79! Needless to say I got nowhere and got angry as I was bounced from person to person. I am in dire need of advice here because there is no way in heck I would pay that kind of bill even if I did have that kind of money! Any guidance would be SOOOO appreciated!
P.S. I found a site that shows that since Cingular merged with ATT&T that over 300 million customers have had complaints similar to mine and many others made here. Cingular now tops the list for the worst wireless phone service available according to site!
