Ebay Informative - Ebay Does Not Protect Their Sellers
PENNSYLVANIA -- The sellers pay large fees to Ebay to sell and yet even though a buyer does not follow the return policy stated on a contract, claims an item is not as described (when this seller puts on usually 7-9 pictures from every angle possible and writes descriptions that are longer than most) Ebay allows a buyer dispute, says they don't get involved but then blocks an account!!!! My account was suspended in March for an item that was sold in NOVEMBER OF 2Q05! when I had a three day return policy notification and the buyer never asked for his money back????? I sell antiques many over 100 years old and they...none of them...are perfect like a brand new item would be!
Like everyone else here...I've gone round and round with customer service, the dispute resolution team... and keep getting form letters back..saying Ebay doesn't get involved. The buyer and seller must resolve it. Now to me, to return the money is directly against the binding contract that we had. The buyer did not contact me within the three days after receipt of the item...but then filed "item not as described". EBAY IS FORCING ME TO RETURN THE ITEM AGAINST THE CONTRACT, IN ORDER TO HAVE MY SELLING PRIVILEGES REINSTATED?????? ON AN ITEM THIS MAN HAS HAD FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS????
EBAY PROTECTS THE BUYERS BUT DOES NOTHING TO PROTECT THE SELLERS WHO PAY THE FEES!!!
I am considering contacting an attorney. Any suggestions for a new site????
Please post if you've found one that's good!
