Cartridge World Complaint - Refilled Cartridges from Cartridge World

Review by Lbaca on 2007-09-11
CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a set of cartridges for my printer and the ink was all over the place. In my printer, on my hands. The customer service was horrible and said it was my fault that the cartridge leaked.

I was better off going and buying the original cartridges. What a nightmare!

Using non-genuine ink may void the manufacturer's warranty.

MRM, from what I've read on a couple of computer forums, this is no longer true. What I've been given to understand, it compares to getting your auto oil changes at places other than the dealership from where purchased. But, who knows? These may be self-professed computer experts providing the information. :)

As far as Cartridge World is concerned, I've used them many times and never had a problem. Maybe the poster just got a couple of bad ones or possibly installed them improperly. We also have a state-wide supermarket chain which supplies ink cartridge refills at a very good price. Less than half price. You drop them off in the same area where you leave film for developing.

They still suck - I've received DRY cartridges, they have refused to honor bogus coupons, and please click on their Better Business Bureau "preferred vendor" link - it's FRAUDULENT!!!!!! Great prices, but it's all smoke and mirrors - they do not deliver, and it appears to be a complete scam.

I just had an ink mess to clean up too. I always bought new cartridges...but my Much Older Brother kept insisting that I take my empty cartridges to Walgreens and have them refill them...I kept saying, that's just not right, can't be the same as new, maybe they won't fill them all the way...he said he has his refilled all the time with no problems...so, taking a tip from the elderly...I tried it...I opened the compartment on my printer because it said my ink was running low, and yes, it was one of those refilled ones...when I opened it, if found ink splattered all over the inside of the printer, and a puddle on the bottom. Never again...!!!
