Thrifty Complaint - Reservation means nothing - Car rental - Phoenix Sky Harbor

PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- I reserved a car from Thrifty's web site back in July. They even sent me a reminder of my reservation 2 days before I left for my trip in September. When I arrived at the Sky Harbor Airport location I was told there were no cars available. That they had been "overbooked". Thrifty rep's response "we're sorry". They handed m over to EZ Car Rental next door. EZ honored my rate, however, the classifications of EZ's cars were different from Thrifty's, therefore I ended up spending more money for the same car.

I also lost out on my frequent flier mileage. Would not rent from Thrifty again, even if they were cheaper than the others.

Enterprise is pretty reasonable and I haven't had a problem with them--yet. They even gave me 10% off once when I mentioned that the interior windows needed cleaning when I was returning the car. I thought that was pretty nice. Hope your next rental experience is better.

I only rent from Thrifty, and have rented from the Sky Harbor location 3 seperate times, and can only say that I have NEVER had a problem with them. I make my reservations online, and follow it up with a call to the office itself to make sure I get the car I want. They even let me pick out the color of car I get from now on.
