Alltel Complaint - Prepaid Cell phone Service
WILLMAR, MINNESOTA -- I recently bought a prepaid phone from AlltelU.com. When I receive the phone I noticed the number was not local. This should not be a big deal since they state that if you did not get a local number to call them and they will get you a local number. I gave them a call and they switched the number. The problem is that the new number is not local. I called them back and get the run around for an hour. I finally get to someone who can get me a local number, but it will cost me $25. I don't think that I should have to pay $25 to get something that was promised to me in the beginning. The joke is on me though. There is no "satisfaction guarantee" with the prepaid service. So I am out the price of the phone as well as the activation and the $20 that was loaded onto the phone.
The most frustrating problem is that you can not talk to someone who can help.
Each time that I called I was either forwarded to some other person who could not help or put into an endless auto attendant loop. Customer satisfaction is not a concern of Alltel.
