Seelye Wright Informative - Used Car Rip Off

Review by justiceforall2 on 2007-09-13
KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN -- Bought a used car from them, next day noticed it was over heating, brought it in and they said tough luck. wrote letter, they agreed to pay for half of cost of a used engine, as it had a cracked engine, block. problem is I found one on internet with 12,000 miles on for $1450. they wanted $2,500 for one with 75,000 miles.

I told them about the one I could provide and they gave me a take it or leave it on the higher priced one. so they actually made $ on the so called offer to pay half of the repair.

Did you purchase this car “AS IS”?

Most states’ lemon car law will protect you if you have low-mileage (100,000 or lower) car.

most of the time a warranty. is a sucker bet, ask consumers report. I Did take it for a test drive, no signs of leaky gasket till a longer out of town trip. a small crack in gasket hard to find even for a mechanic. point is they don't even have a 24 hr warranty . . the offer to pay half was contingent to their using a !00% mark up on parts. I suspect you are an employee of Wrights,or one of those company's that are paid to clean up a company with poor reviews.
