Matag Informative - Maytag Gas Range

Review by BrentNeil on 2007-09-13
WEST NEW YORK, OKLAHOMA -- Bought a brand new gas range from Home Depot on June 28th and it was delivered on July 9. It did not work. Home Depot would not take it back. Maytag has send a repairman 2 times and cannot fix it. Home Depot still will not take it back and it still does not work. Waiting for the repair man to come a third time. It is now Sept. 13.

Have had the range for over two months and it does not work.

What's the issue with it?
If the repairmen cannot figure it out, they will exchange it.

Call a local repair shop(that does warranty service)

My thoughts exactly Steve. Make some calls and stand your ground.

go to www.maytag.com, on top of page it will say support. Click on it. Next click on Service and Parts. Next click on Find a Servicer near you. Pull type of appliance, type in Zip code and find local svcr NOT AE and these will be local authorized svcrs who can svc the appliance for you.

Hope this helps.

3rd time is the charm in most states and then they will have to deliver you a brand new one. I also found out that if you will contact customer service at Home Depot they will go a lot farther in helping you. I mean at the national level. I do not understand why a repair man cannot come since they are seen sitting on their rear ends on TV all the time. But if you do decide to have a repairmen come make sure he is auhorized by Maytag.
