California National Bank Complaint - Cal National Free Checking

Review by staylorphoto321 on 2007-09-14
HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA -- Pretty simple: DON'T open a Cal National 'free' checking account. When you open a new account, you're subject to a 90 day intro period where all checks deposited not drawn on Cal National are subject to a 10 BUSINESS DAY HOLD. Yes, you read that right. 2 full weeks. I wasn't told this when I opened my account, it's a tidbit of info buried deep in the fine print.

You're better off doing your banking at a check cashing agency. Cal National was a complete waste of my time.

It is 9 Business Days and it is for the first 30 days, not 90...and almost every financial institution will hold outside checks the first month you open the account.
