RCN Complaint - Abysmal service, abysmal customer service
WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- I switched from Comcast to RCN due to unreliable service from Comcast, believing the grass would be greener. Big mistake. RCN's cable service is horribly unreliable. In just over two months since switching, it has completely cut out twice, each time requiring at least an hour on the phone to support, following by a five day wait for an engineer. It cut out again yesterday, and I've been told I have to wait another five days for an engineer. Fed up with paying for such a terrible service, I asked to be put through to the cancellation department - they happily canceled my service, not interested at all in why I was canceling. They are obviously not concerned in the slightest about customer churn. They even had the nerve to say they would charge me for picking up their equipment.
Abysmal service, abysmal customer service. Avoid at all costs.
