Caprice Travel Agency Complaint - Use Caprice Travel in Yonkers At Your Own Risk!
YONKERS, NEW YORK -- My complaint concerns a reservation I made on with Caprice travel agency.
After I made the reservation I was promised an itinerary from the agent but two weeks later had not received it. When I called to confirm the reservation and get the itinerary, I was told that the reservation was never made, the agent had no memory of it, and I would need to make the reservation again, which I did. I was told that the cost would be the same, but it was over 200 dollars more than the ticket I ordered. I had no choice but to use the more expensive ticket.
When I received my credit card statement I discovered that not only had the reservation been made the first time, but I was being charged for the ticket plus the 30 dollar fee from the travel agency. I was told that the agent made the reservation under the wrong spelling, and I had to pay for both tickets, over 1000 dollars.
These people were rude, greedy. They admitted their mistake, but were unwilling to make restitution for it. They put me off for six months before telling me I was out of luck and they would not give me back my money--finally I did get the small agency fee back because they said it was their mistake. But they would not refund the ticket worth several hundred dollars.
