Days Inn Complaint - Cancelling Reservations
SELMA, ALABAMA -- I made reservations with Days Inn in Selma, AL, approximately 7:00-7:30 pm. I called back less than hour to cancel and the attendant would not provide me with a cancellation number. She stated that because I made the reservation after 6:00 pm, I could not cancel. No one advise me of the cancellation policy when I made the reservation. I used the credit card, American Express, for the reservation. When I called American Express, the charge had not been posted to my credit card. I have tried to reach the general manager, but he is not available when I call. On the receipt that was provided to American Express, it shows that the number of guests was 1; time checked in, 5:37; time checked out, 11:06; and that it was a no-show. The information is false. I am requesting credit for the charge on my credit card. I am very disturbed that the general manager is not available when I call. Please provide me with some direction that I can pursue to get the credit for this charge.
