Dish Network Complaint - Crappy Serivce
SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- We decided to change to DISH since Mediacom is such a con job. ANyway, we ordered DISH on line and scheduled a date. We had to change the first one and rescheduled for a week later. Not a problem. They said they would arrive between 8-noon. The techs showed up around 10:45. They looked through our house and outside. The techs concluded that they didn't have the right cables. They said they could do it the "old fashioned" way which would need 6-8 cables instead of the 4 they use now. I said "More cables, more probems." The techs snicked and one said said "Probably." I asked them why they didn't have the supplies they needed to install service and they went on and on about how the warehouse is out and they never order the right stuff. One of the techs said it makes it hard for them to do their job. No kidding! I called DISH to complain. Talk about a bunch of idiots! I had to explain it 4-5 times to the girl that FIANLLY answered the phone. I asked to speak with a supervisor. Tha took forever and I had to explain it to her over and over again. Then she said she had to call the installation department. After another eternity on hold, I was supposedly talking to the dispather who was in contact with the techs that came to our house. I told the dispatcher the story - again - and she said that's not what the techs told her. Gee, ya think? I told the dispatcher this is ludicrious and that I just wanted a refund. She said I should have told the customer service person that. I asked her to transfer me back. I was on hold - again and I finally got tired of waiting. I was on the phone for 46 minutes and got nothing resolved. With such LOUSY customer service, it's a wonder they're still in business.
I will NEVER recommend DISH to anyone and I will TELL everyone what happened!
