NEW YORK -- Crooks and cheats. No return, no exchange, no satisfaction; guaranteed! Unit will not play CD's as shipped, neither Etronics (worse possible customer service people) nor SONY (At least they are nice when they tell you they will not do anything about it) will take back or exchange unit.

Never again!

I, for one, am a satisfied customer of Etronics.com. I have bought 2 car stereos to put in my Jeep and they work very well and the price is unbelievable low compared to my local retail stores.

I WENT LOOKING FOR DEEP DISCOUNTED ACCESSORIES FOR MY SONY DSC-H50 DIGITAL CAMERA AND CAME ACROSS ETRONICS SIGHT. FOOLISHLY I USED THEM TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS. I ORDERED 3 ITEMS IN TWO ORDERS FROM ETRONICS. A CONVERSION LENS ,A/C POWER SUPPLY AND A SONY BATTERY. THE LENS I QUICKLY RECEIVED IN TWO DAYS AND IT WAS AS ORDERED.THE OTHER TWO ITEMS I HAVE NOT RECEIVED, YET MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED AND WORSE YET, I FOUND THAT THEY HAD ALSO PUT THROUGH ANOTHER UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE ON MY CARD.I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY BANK AND ALERTED THEM.THE NEXT MORNING I EMAILED ETRONICS AND TOLD THEM THAT MY BANK HAD BEEN NOTIFIED AND I WANTED A FULL REFUND FOR THE EXTRA CHARGE.IN 48 HOURS MY MONEY WAS RETURNED.NOW YOU MAY BE THINKING TO YOURSELF, WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL,THEY MADE GOOD.MY FIRM BELIEF IS THAT THIS COMPANY IS AS CROOKED AS A DOGS HIND LEG AND IT WAS ONLY MY BANK CARD VIGILANCE THAT STOPPED THEM FROM SCAMMING ME.HAD I NOT NOTICED OR BEEN A LESS THEN A VIGILANT CONSUMER, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXTRA 120 BUCKS ON MY VISA.FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IN OTHER REVIEWS THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PRACTICE WITH THIS JOINT.THE WOOPS, MADE A LITTLE MISTAKE WITH YOUR BILLING WHEN I CONTACTED THERE HELP DESK, NO PHONE NUMBER JUST EMAIL, THAT DOES NOT FILL ME WITH CONFIDENCE AND ASKED THEM WHY A UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE WAS PUT THROUGH ON MY CARD , I WAS TOLD IT WAS MY FAULT AND I HAD PLACED TWO IDENTICAL ORDERS. HMMM. THAT FUNNY ONE AMOUNT WAS FOR $120 .96 AND ONE WAS FOR $120 .46, NOW HOW COULD THAT BE IF I PLACED TWO IDENTICAL ORDERS.? I LOOKED ON THERE SIGHT AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THERE IS A SECTION THAT DOES TELL YOU HOW TO CANCEL AND ORDER, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CLICK THE CANCEL ORDER BUTTON ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN IN YOUR ORDER HISTORY PAGE.ONLY ONE PROBLEM NO SUCH BUTTON EXISTS,OHH MAYBE ONE DID AT ONE TIME , BUT THAT HAS LONG SINCE BEEN REMOVED , UNDOUBTEDLY THAT FEATURE WAS USED JUST A LITTLE TO OFTEN WITH THE WAY THIS JOINT DOES BUSINESS.SO AN EMAIL WAS SENT CANCELING MY LAST TWO ITEMS ON ORDER.A DAY LATER I RECEIVED AN EMAIL SAYING THAT IT WAS TWO LATE TO CANCEL MY ORDER, IT HAD ALREADY SHIPPED AND THAT I WOULD BE RECEIVING A TRACKING NUMBER VERY SOON. I IMMEDIATELY SENT THEM AN EMAIL ASKING THEM FOR A TRACKING NUMBER IF MY ITEMS HAD SHIPPED THEN A TRACKING NUMBER WOULD HAVE BEEN GENERATED, SO THIS WAS JUST ANOTHER FABRICATION OR STALL ON ETRONICS PART.A DAY LATER I RECEIVED A TRACKING NUMBER. THE ORDER COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY HALTED.MY ETRONICS ACCOUNT INFORMATION SHOWS THAT MY TWO ORDERS HAVE NOT EVEN SHIPPED YET AND THAT THE ORDERS ARE STILL PROCESSING, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED MY ONE ORDER AND I HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER FOR ANOTHER. JUST BITE THE BULLET SOMETIMES AND COUGH UP THE EXTRA BUCKS FOR THE PIECE OF MIND THAT COMES WITH DEALING WITH A UP AND UP ONLINE RETAILER.I HAVE ONE I USE ALL THE TIME THAT STARTS WITH AN A AND I SHOULD HAVE JUST GAVE THEM THE 40 BUCKS' AND BEEN DONE WITH IT. I CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY, FROM THE HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED, I WOULD HATE TO HAVE AN EXPENSIVE ITEM LIKE A LAPTOP OR HD TV ORDER WITH THIS PLACE.GOD HELP YOU IF YOU IF YOU NEEDED TO RETURN SOMETHING OR GET SERVICE FOR IT. MY GUESS IS YOU ARE GOING TO EAT THAT DOUGH.I DINT REALLY SUFFER ALL THAT MUCH WITH ETRONICS, BUT THAT EXTRA CHARGE REALLY PUT ME OFF .ESPECIALLY AFTER READING ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND GOD AWFUL REVIEWS OF POOR SERVICE AND RIP OFFS. JUST A LITTLE TWO COINCIDENTAL.I HAVE PLACED HUNDREDS OF ONLINE ORDERS AND THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED.ADD TO THAT THE FABRICATIONS OR LIES THAT THEY POST IN THERE WEB SIGHT LIKE ( CREDIT CARD NOT CHARGED UNTIL MERCHANDISE IS SHIPPED THEY CHARGED MY CARD IMMEDIATELY AND ALL MY MERCHANDISE DID NOT SHIP RIGHT AWAY.JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY LOOK AT ALL THE COMPLAINTS.
