Bristol West - Coast National Insurance Co Informative - Unfair Practices - Insurance

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA -- Please carefully review the policy before signing with this company.

I mailed in my monthly premium on time, this company sent a cancellation letter six days after the payment had been received. I called to follow up seven days later and was told my payment had not yet been received, I sent a letter on three days later asking them to enforce the cancellation and was told at that time my policy did not show as being cancelled however the check had not been presented to the bank for payment, payment for the premium was presented to the bank three weeks later, four days after I asked that they enforce the cancellation that they started, they offered to sent me a refund check in the amount of $17.00 for services they had not rendered.

In short I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

It sounds like things crossed in the mail. When you called and asked for the cancellation to be enforced, did you ask for it to go back to the day the insurance company had stated was the cancellation date or from the date you called? That makes a big difference. If you did not state the date, the insurance company assumes that it is the date you call.
