Juniper Bank Complaint - Invalid late and over limit fees computer errors
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK -- I have suffered from the errors reported by others about Juniper / Barclay's bank in the USA. They have made false claims about payments not received and other errors in their online credit card system. My monthly minimum payment went from some $190 to $900.
They are in violation of FCC rules about caller ID. They call at all hours of the day and night but the calls do not show a number which can be used to call them back though I know by answering one (abusive) call who the call is from.
And they have not responded to complaint letters sent to the executive office requesting copies of past statements and explanation of charges. I sent over 31 pages of documentation.
I filed a complaint with the New York State Attorney General about their practices which are similar to those committed by First Premier Bank. There was a multimillion dollar settlement in that case.
I urge others who have suffered from Juniper / Barclay's abuse to write to the attorney general of the state in which they reside and make a similar complaint.
There was also a Senate or House of Representatives committee investigating credit card fraud as practiced by Juniper / Barclays. It might be worthwhile to write to them.
In my own case, it has been forwarded by the New York State AG to a Federal bank fraud investigating department.
