Northern Ohio Broadband Informative - Northern Ohio Broadband - The Worst

Review by zaremabsucks on 2007-09-18
LAKEWOOD, OHIO -- I am a resident of Castlewood Apartments managed by Zaremba. The in house management of the building is, without approach outstanding. However, the ‘corporate’ side is absolutely the worst property management company I have ever encountered.

One of their great ‘follies’ is ‘Northern Ohio Broadband’ – the worst sat/cable company I have ever encountered. No customer service, no decent signal, just a bunch of ‘hassle’ and (expletives) – everyone in the building knows that the satellite company is ‘in bed’ with Zaremba, but Zaremba thinks we are all idiots – gee the mailing address of the satellite service is the same as other Zaremba ‘services’ what a joke.

The rent here is over 800.00 A month. Can we talk?

Great building – great internal management – if you like television move somewhere else!!! I'm planning to!

There was a post in January of this year about a similar problem. Here is a part of my response:

If you have a balcony facing the correct direction you can get a small dish for TV service. Federal law permits it.

PassingBy is right. I used to live in a 'corporate' complex like yours and they switched to a similar in-house provider who's service sucked. They had nobody working on the weekends, so twice (before I ended up cancelling) the cable went out on a Friday night and no one serviced it until Monday morning. Within a couple months the dishes for DirecTV and Dish Network started sprouting up. It was legal under the lease as long as you did not mount it on the apartment structure, just get a tripod stand for the dish.

I'm certainly no expert, but this complaint is written as though Northern Ohio is both satellite and cable. I didn't know one company would be both. But, what do I know?

However, I agree with both PB and OEW. At one time, you were locked into whoever your complex or community issued the franchise to. Now we all have choices. Guess that's one good thing the FCC did for us! :)

I found some info on Northern Ohio Broadband. There are no positive remarks about them anywhere I looked. Complaints are all about poor service and unreliable internet. Their home page is a joke. You can send them an email or look up current channel listings. Other then that there's absolutely no useful information.

Their office address is:
South Green Road, Suite 100, Beachwood, OH 44122.
Also listed is a Tech Admin phone number. It's for Microsoft Office Live. Go figure.
