Orlando Reprographics Complaint - LCD Out Of Commission
I bought this notebook on March 07 ($612). I used it very few times.This AUG, 07 I started it and the Display stayed dark. Called Help desk, did some trouble shooting as instructed by the rep. The LCD stayed dark and the rep said that I have to send it for repair. I was very surprised because I used this computer very few times, basically it was brand new. Any ways, HP sent me a box prepaid Fedex and the item was sent. After, 5 days my computer was back, I was very excited as I am taking some classes online, so I was happy to get my homeworks done. I turned on my laptop and the LCD was still dark. I was very angry, and they have the nerve to send it back with a note that says problem solved...what a bunch of BS. I got on the phone to talk with a rep (Talked for 45min)to explain to them the problem...the rep apologized, but I did not need any apologies...all I want is to fix the item.
The rep suggested to go for the same scenario and sent my Laptop a 2nd time for repair. This time I put a letter inside to explain the problem hopefully the problem will be solved. To my surprise, my lap top arrived at the repair center (Nashville, TN)in the morning and sent back to me same day in the evening...WOW, I said may be the fixed it...Wrong, I received w/ the same DARK LCD. I could not understand what was the deal I got on the phone and spoke to a rep (in India)was pleasant but suggested the same thing again (send it for repair) ...this is a joke like I said...I asked to speak a manager and told him my incredible story with HP Stuff.
Well, he reassured me that he to "notes" regarding the matter, and I agreed to send to be serviced for the 3rd time...I am still waiting for the outcome...I let you know if it's fixed ..I am very upset with the product and the customer service at this point.
