Ironwood Communications (Direct TV) Complaint - Lousy Installation
SADDLEBROOKE (TUCSON AREA), ARIZONA -- On 9/12/07 my Direct TV dish and (3) HD DVRs were finally installed after much grief and several delays caused by the poor service provided by both Ironwood and Direct TV. The delays are not the subject of this posting but instead it is the crummy installation job performed by Ironwood. Direct TV advertises free "professional" installation with sign-up. If the job done on my installation was "professional" I guess my 3 year old great granddaughter could qualify as a pro.
A supervisor at Ironwood had assured us prior to the installation that he was sending his best installer. If he did I would hate to have seen the job done by second best. The installation is sloppy beyond description. Before he started I reviewed with the installer where the dish should be located. He agreed that it would be done. I didn't follow him around to supervise and he ended up putting it 10 feet from the agreed location. He left debris and wrappings from the components he used all over both inside and outside my house. The cables were strung in a manner the made it look like my house had been teepeed with black spaghetti.
He didn't seal all the spots where he drilled through from outside to inside to string cable and those spots he did seal were done in a manner as to make the seal ineffective and extremely sloppy (again both inside and outside). He also lied to me about some of the things he didn't finish properly as I discovered after he left. I
n short -IT STINKS.
