RCN Complaint - Fraudulent billing - Cable TV
ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA -- RCN increased their rates and now requires all customers to have a converter box. The mount our TV is on has no room for a converter box. I sent the converter box back, but I am getting charged $4 per month for a converter box I don't have. FCC isn't requiring converter boxes until February 2009, but RCN is forcing customers to switch early, so that they can charge their customers more.
I complained and customer service was non-responsive. They refused to remove the charges from the bill. Same response from supervisors. They also don't care about losing our business to another service provider. I am definitely looking into other service.
