Lowe's Complaint - Countertops don't fit
ILLINOIS -- I paid $35 to Lowes for their specialists to measure my cabinets for a countertop. They measured, turned the measurements into Lowes. I paid for the countertop based on (I thought) the specialists measurements. When the countertops arrived, and were installed, they were too large. The depth of my cabinets was 24 inches, but Lowes ordered countertops that were 25 1/2 deep, so they stuck out too far, and there was an opening large enough to get your fingers into under the countertop. It took 3 days of talking to first one person then another, and Lowes is unwilling to exchange the countertops, stating I signed for the larger tops. I found out they charge the installer rather than take the loss themselves. I have a feeling I'm going to need a lawyer to get the correct sized countertops. Has anyone else had problems with these countertops?
