Rooms to Go Complaint - Bleeding Dye on Crimson Sofas
SAINT PETERSBURG, FLORIDA -- I recently purchased a crimson sofa and chair from rooms to go. My son left some drool on the sofa and I used a clean white rag slightly dampened with water to clean it. I looked down to find the rag crimson. the field tech who came out to investigate informed me it was because I had used water on the microfiber. the store rep had actually instructed me to use water to clean it. Just to be safe, I picked up some of the solvent based cleaner that rooms to go offers for that purpose. Again, the white rag turned crimson after cleaning. The customer service rep I spoke with later informed me that they had received many complaints of this nature about this very couch and in fact they had discontinued the line for a while because of those complaints. They decided to carry the line once again after the manufacturer informed them it had been corrected. Again the complaints of bleeding dye came rolling in. Despite this, they continued to sell this couch and to this day, the couch remains on their show room floor for sale.
