RCA TV INC. Complaint - Quality of service on bad tv

BEREA, KENTUCKY -- RCA does not stand up to their warranties on their TV's. I bought mine July of 2006. In May of 2007 the lamp went bad,called RCA after much arguing with them they finally agreed to send a repairman.put new lamp in a few days later would not come on at all. Again called company [which more or less called me a liar]. Finally at the end of may the repairman came and took my TV back to his shop,this is September my TV is still in shop it can't be fixed. After sending RCA my receipt many times and threating [not threating] with a law suit. Now they are willing to give me another TV [another piece of junk], told them no thanks I want my money back.They have now told me that if I do get a check back it will take about 6 to 8 weeks to get it.

Anyone thinking about buying an RCA TV think again they all might not be a piece of trash, as for me I'M NOT GOING TO RISK IT.

I know how all of you guys feel about the poor service on the RCA Tv....I bought a 52" RCA Hdtv rear projection last year and two weeks ago, I couldn't open the tv by the remote so I changed the batteries twice...still the same So I tried to open the on button by the tv itself and it was making a weird noise ( sizzling noise) and was smelling like something was burning inside the tv...
So I called the company and they said that it wasn't guaranteed anymore and that they would have to send someone over to look at it...I have been transfered twice and last time I was told that I had to called this 800 number in order to get someone to come and look at the tv....
Of course the tv is only 13 months old, so I called this person over and once here he told me that they had a glitch (52" rca tv) and that he would have to replace a whole board cz the board burned out...he even showed me....what I didn't like from them is by the looks of it, according to this guy that came over....RCA knew they had a glicth (bad tv) so I don't know why in the heck they did not have any recall on them...now by the looks of it...the peice I need will cost almost 600.00 and the work is only guaranteed for 3 months...After paying almost 2500.00 last year I figure that RCA should have been responsible to replace my tv...all I can say is It is a very poor service and people should be very carefull about the type of tv they buy...I know I will not buy another RCA
