Dear Mr. Aylwin Lewis:
Re: Non-performance on Master Protection agreement # 192076883600038
I hereby request a refund of $247.91 for the above agreement as Sears is unable to provide the timely and requisite service promised.
I have been waiting for over a month for Sears to repair my air-conditioning unit. On two initial visits the technicians simply recharged the Freon, while on the third visit the technician stated that the problem was a leaking accumulator. After waiting for another week for the part, I was informed that there were none in stock and the repair appointment was scheduled for a further week later.
On one of the above appointments, scheduled to be between 8am and noon, the technician arrived at 5:00pm. On another appointment, for which I had to cut short a vacation, the appointment was canceled. It took me eight calls to trace where a technician (late for a scheduled appointment) was. Requests to talk to supervisors and/or managers is ignored.
The temperature in my house is currently 86 degrees at 1:00pm and, for obvious heath reasons, I’m not prepared to go through another week of trying to chase down a part or a technician. I have therefore contacted a local repair company who can replace the part tomorrow (the part is also available via numerous web sites).
