Jones Pure Cane Soda Compliment - Great taste that HFCS can't match

Review by Starlord on 2007-09-24
COOLIDGE, ARIZONA -- When I was a kid, food processors used sugar to sweeten foods with. Over the years, sugar was replaced with High Fructose Corn Syrup. I thought all that time that it was my taste buds that had changed. I heard some people say the difference between sugar and HFCS was like night and day. I have been seeing these Jones sodas for some time now, and I saw some advertising that said the pure flavor of Jones sodas, due to pure sugar beat the HFCS flavor all out, I decided to try it. When I was a kid, I drank a lot of Nehi Cream Soda. You had your choice of red or yellow, and I loved it. I have tried IBC Cream Soda, and thought it was pretty good. I saw a display of Jones Pure Cane Soda the other day at Wal*Mart and got some in two flavors. The blueberry/pomegranate is very good, but I withheld judgement until I tried the cream soda. No soda made with HFCS ccan compare with soda made with pure cane sugar. The taste is fresh and refreshing, delicate and satisfying. None of these terms really apply to any soda made with HFCS. Good job, Jones.

Thanks, Starlord. The next time I'm craving a soda, I'll buy some of that.

Around Thanksgiving time they have a gift set that comes with flavors like turkey & gravy, pea, sweet potato, dinner roll and antacid. LOL!

You may be seeing some of the major soda players moving to cane sugar again, as prices of corn keep rising due to demand for Ethanol.
