CitiCards Complaint - Lousy Customer Service is an Understatement
THE LAKES,, NEVADA -- I had a CitiCards Master Card. I paid a balance of over $1000 on the due date. However, for some reason, it didn't post until the next day. Of course, they hit me with a $39.00 late fee. When I questioned them, they said the payment didn't post by the due date. Therefore, according to their Customer Agreement, the charge was valid and would not be refunded.
I then paid the last of the balance on the account and told them to close the account. I sent them a letter with the account closing request. I got a form letter, stating that my account was closed and again reiterating that, according to the "Customer Agreement" they would not refund the late charge.
Imagine my surprise when I got my bill today, expecting to see a 0 balance only to find $2.43 in finance charges.
I guess I have no choice but to pay the finance charge. The almighty "Customer Agreement" rules their lives at CitiCards. Too bad it also cost them a lot more in what I would have spent using the card.
