Vonage Complaint - Disconnect Problems
GILBERT, ARIZONA -- I moved out of a house where I had Vonage service. No complaints about the service. When I called to ask to be disconnected, the sales person kept me on the phone for 30 minutes and refused to disconnect. Instead he offered a free month (the phone had not been used for at least 30 days at that time) to allow me to "reconsider" my decision. Out of frustration I agreed to the free month after which I believed I would be disconnected. Of course that was not true and I was billed for two more months and charged to my credit card. I called twice to get this stopped but to no avail. Finally today I got it disconnected but they refused to give me a refund for the previous months that were billed after I had requested a disconnect.
Vonage is the most difficult company that I have ever encountered. Even though the service is OK, I would never recommend dealing with them.
