Mr. Jim's Pizza Informative - Beddar Cheddar Burger Pizza

Review by heaven17 on 2007-09-27
DALLAS, TEXAS -- I'm not a big pizza fan, but, every once in a while, I'll order one out of laziness.

I tried Mr. Jim's Beddar Cheddar Burger Pizza and was underwhelmed. It was okay quality-wise, but the flavor was just not there. Bland is a word that comes to mind. It was hard to decide what might improve it, but I couldn't come up with anything except perhaps seasoning the beef a little?

Then, just to give them a second shot a week or two later, I tried their Sticky Fingers Pizza (basically a 'Supreme' type of thing), and it was very good! MUCH better and I highly recommend it with the thin and crispy crust.

I have yet to find a pizza that matches Papa Murphy's Take and Bake pizzas. I told Crystal when we win the lottery, I am going to get a PM franchise in Casa Grande, AZ. I know they are interested in getting a store here, according to their website. It is nearly impossible, even with those fancy bags, to get a hot pizza delivered. And going to pick one up? Even worse. With PM, you order your pizza and they build it, then you take it home and bake it in your own oven. Voila! Fresh, hot pizza. The store we saw in Washington was like an operating room, it was so clean. The prices are much more reasonable, as they don't have those big pizza ovens to keep feeding fuel to.

They are good, Star. There is one about a mile from my pad.

I thought it was a national franchise, but (from what I can tell on their website), it seems to be mostly contained within Texas (with a few exceptions).
I did not know that until now.

Well, if you're ever in Texas...
